Leaving my desk (not pictured). Christy, our assistant, working hard at her desk on Labor Day of all days!
Making my way towards reception...
glancing left to check out the pantry
Towards the door...coolest corridor/entrance ever.
Pressing the door release button
The lift lobby. It is a public holiday today so half the lights are off.
Elevator. They're super fast. But not as fast as Kyle's in Sydney.
I look at my shoes a lot in the elevator
2nd floor lift lobby, which leads to The Landmark, one of HK's premiere luxury malls.
Paul Smith. I find myself in here buying shoes too often.
Crossing the bridge to Alexandra House (it's a brief stop...maybe 10 steps!)
Looking out at Des Veoux Road in Central from the Sky Bridge. Notice the trams, referred to as the Ding Ding by locals.
Down the steps to Alexandra House...
And a few paces to another bridge leading to Chater House
I thought, until 2 months ago when Rick Froese corrected me, that this building was named ChaRter House.
Chater House might as well be the Armani building. Nearly every Armani brand is represented here (except that trashy Exchange line)
Armani duratrans along the corridor
Turning the corner to leave and cross over yet another bridge to IFC
Glancing left to give a nod to Mr and Mrs Beckham. They're always dressed so casually...
Leaving Chater for the open air bridge.
Low ceiling but cool effect
Looking West from the bridge down onto Connaught Road
Looking East at the Jardine House on the right
Negotiating the slow walkers when there is a crowd is always a challenge. And in HK we drive on the left...so why does everyone walk on the right?
Up the stairs and into IFC.
Approaching IFC Mall...
Down to Hong Kong MTR Station
One more level to the Tung Chung Line....
Through the turnstiles
Down to the Platform. The train has just arrived and this being the end of the Tung Chung line and a non-peak hour it means I have 8 minutes until the train departs.
